Administrative History
Storrs Road, originally Wesleyan, Methodist Church was established in 1896. The church building was opened on 21 February 1900 and licensed for marriages in April 1930. A separate Sunday School building opened in 1909 and a new Community Centre was added in the 1970s.

Custodial History
The first deposit of records was made via the Central (Saltergate) Chesterfield Methodist Circuit in 1991 as part of D3458, and these records were re-accessioned in 1993. Further deposits were received in September 2006, November 2010, February 2014 and February 2019 from the Chesterfield Methodist Circuit and in November 2024 from the archivist of the Sheffield District of the Methodist Church.
