Description
Dimensions 87cm x 57cm: shows the road between Rowsley and Wirksworth, with road and river features adjacent to the road: includes indications of "Intended Turnpike Bar" at Matlock Bath and Matlock Bridge: linear scale 400yds to one inch. Includes a table of distances (in yards) for sections of the road, which include the intended turnpike bars as intermediate measuring points. Bears date stamp of 1958 of Surveyors' Office, Town Hall, Matlock and a partly illegible note about the taking of a copy in 1958
