Description
Lease and release by Thomas Towndrow of Higham yeoman, Joseph Wilson of Alfreton gent., and William Fletcher of Morton yeoman to Rev. George Bossley of Chesterfield, Joshua Jebb of Walton Lodge esq; and Wotton Byrchinshaw Thomas of Chesterfield gent., reciting terms of D37 M/T536-540, and reciting that Towndrow and Wilson have lately contracted for the sale of various freehold and copyhold hereditaments, that is the Flowery Meadow to William Hayland for £100; the Hopthorn and the Oaks to the said Joseph Wilson for £267 14s; copyholds to Benjamin Longden for £91 1s; copyholds to William Hoyland and William Peacock for £125; copyholds to John Banks for £88 19s; copyholds to Edward Lester for £44 2s; all which sums have been paid to William Fletcher in reduction of his principal, which now stands at £665 16s 6d, whereby Towndrow and Wilson assign the remaining mortgaged premises in consideration of the outstanding principal paid to Fletcher, and a further sum of £84 3s 6d advanced to Towndrow, making a principal of £750.
