Lease and release by Richard Lee of Higham Hill yeoman to William Turbutt of Ogston Hall esq. of one messuage on Higham Hillside and two closes (5 acres) there; three closes (5 acres) on Higham Hillside (tenant William Bonsall); three closes (6 acres) on Higham Hillside (tenant Thomas Goodall); two third-parts of a messuage on Higham Hillside (tenant William or John Hopkinson); two third-parts of two closes (5 acres) on Higham Hillside (tenant George Greaves); two third-parts of a close called the Meadow (1 acre 2 roods) on Higham Hillside; two third-parts of a close (1 acre 2 roods) on Higham Hillside (tenant William Bonsall); all of which were formerly the inheritance of William Lee of Lincoln blacksmith; and a close called Micklehill (3 acres) and one third-part of Town End Close, Under North Flat, Long Hedge Close, the Upper and Nether Goslands, and the Twelve Acres called Shadwell Flat, all lying in Shirland (tenant Matthew Marshall), hitherto the inheritance of John Prestwidge (sold to Lee by lease and release of 26/27 November 1747; see D37 M/T1028-29); and the Butts, the Long Close, the Leys, the Reynolds Croft, and the Wet Meadow, containing in all 14 acres; and one third-part of three cottages at Ain Moor in Shirland, formerly the possession of Thomas Stocks; and one third-part of a messuage, garden, and croft (1 acre) at Ainmoor; and three closes at Shirland as in D37 M/T1129. Consideration £1850, and £600 principal on a mortgage due to Joseph Jackson late of Breadsall gent. deceased; and £300 principal on a mortgage owing to the executors of John Linley of Chesterfield.
