My dear Sir
Thank you for
your kind letter: I will
correct the proofs tomorrow:
I should have done so yester-
day but Mr Horsfall wanted
me to answer Mr Dunckley
in the Examiner so I spent a
great part of the day in that
I fear rather hopeless ender-
prise if enlighteningh him on
matters of art: if he does
not take care he will live
to hear the workds 'fossilized
Radical' as freely applied
as fossillized Whig has already
been. But so goes the world
and the Radical of one generation
becomes the Tory of the next
unless a man really keeps
his eyes open.
I am
My dear Sir
Yours very truly
William Morris
