Parish of Normanton St Giles
Administrative History
Normanton was originally a chapelry in the parish of Derby St Peter. It became a separate parish early in the nineteenth century. Part were transferred to the new parishes of Derby St Chad in 1822 and Derby St Bartholomew in 1927. The mission church at Sinfin was attached to Normanton between 1935 and 1979.
Custodial History
Original deposit 1992. Further records were deposited by one of the churchwardens in January 2001.
