Administrative History
The Chelmorton School Endowment Trust originated in the late 18th century with the charitable gifts of William Brocklehurst intended to increase the salary of the schoolmaster of the recently established charity school in Chelmorton. The charity was formally established by a trust deed of 25 Mar 1818.
Custodial History
These records were transferred to Derbyshire Record Office in February 1992.
