| Description | Mr Morewood's letters came today. Anything of moment is adjusted. In looking over John's stock account, his father will find that John has made him a considerable debtor but John is sure the day will come when he will be able to make some satisfactory return, even if only an ideal one. There are very varied opinions on Britain's political affairs both in America and Europe, with the result [of the trip] not so promising as it was, but John is convinced that Trade is not worn out. They only have to exert themselves in the proper channel, but the channel has yet to be determined.
