Title
Smithers to William Longsdon at L&H, Liverpool, acknowledging letter of 18th and power of attorney. 22 September 1827
Date
1827
Description
Writer has instructed Mr Charge as to titles and he will apply to Executors for Abstracts. Sale of farming stock and implements announced for 24 and 25 October but land not yet advertised.
Writer has proposed insurance in £2000 to London Life Association and arranged to be in town next Friday to complete it. Little time for partridges since William left. Getting very wild. Mean to be very industrious this winter, to have leisure for farming concerns at Lady day.
Would enjoy a grouse campaign in north next year especially as Kate says she would go too - her thanks for thinking of Edward and Puff - the cloth does very nicely.
Mrs Longsdon continues much as usual.
