Title	Marriage registers
Description	The vicar was not subject to the Bishop’s authority and so could issue marriage licences. Although the issue of marriage licences to people living outside the peculiar was stopped by Act of Parliament in 1804, the issue of marriage licences to people within Peak Forest was not affected.
