DescriptionThe whole of this box covers the ownership of the Blackwall Estate, Kirk Ireton, 1623 to 1923 and associated issues, in several archival folders or bundles of documents:

Legal case taken to the Chancery Court for resolution of a dispute between the sons of Robert Beecher Leacroft to which John Blackwell was a party - the Court's decision reached in 1818

Some water damaged papers in the second bundle making them unreadable. Title deeds and leases of Blackwall land/property between 1674 and 1805

Some further damaged papers recounting property and land deals between 1800 and 1836

Historial documents of the Manor of Ireton Wood from around 1623 to 1923. Some of the papers are damaged and unreadable. These papers detail the ownership and tenancies of various land and properties of the Estate.
