The box contains some birth, marriage and death documents, personal papers, letters and diaries; legal papers relating to mineral rights in land owned in South Normanton and Blackwell; investments, property sales and purchases, leases and rent income. Of particular note are two publications - one on the geology of the Tideswell area and the other on the 'Pulvilli of Insects'. There are records of John Blackwall Evans Blackwall's appointments and service in the Volunteer Forces and papers on the Warsop Patent Aero-steam Engine with which Richard Eaton was involved.
