| Administrative History | Ernie Baxter (1920-2007) followed his father, Ern Baxter Snr into the Derby Borough Police. He served in the Royal Artillery during the Second World War and married Beryl in 1941. After war service he returned to the police. After retiring from the police, he worked at Rolls Royce. A talented artist, Ernie doodled constantly, and drew many cartoons of his experiences. |
