Administrative History
The school was established in 1879, when it met in rooms at the Crown Hotel, Alvaston. At that period it was known as Alvaston and Boulton National School. It was housed in a new building in 1880 and open on weekdays and Sundays. In 1884 it became a mixed school which catered for 150 children. It later became Allenton County Infant School.
Custodial History
These records were transferred from Derby and South Derbyshire Area Office in July 1987 and deposited in December 1989 and October 1998 by the headteacher. An additional accession was received via Derby Local Studies Library in April 2023.
