vexed at delay in P.L.G.'s election to British South Africa Company;
difficulty of Transvaal situation, Boers absolutely in the wrong;
will never again be called tactful if his dispatches are published, as he hopes they will be;
is determined that he and his friends should not rise to the gossip at present circulating (undisclosed).
