Title
Hawksley to Jameson : hears that the directors are discussing the presidency in private;
he has "shot his bolt" and is glad to be out of it as there is some "hitting below the belt";
does not mind who is elected as long as J. or Milner does not leave;
J. should be content with having effectively excluded Milner and should now refuse nomination, as was his original intention;
would not be in best interests of the Company that he should be president;
an outsider should and could be found.
