TitleH.W. Just, C.O., to British South Africa Company: reminds them of the agreement with the German Govt. made in 1899 that the British South Africa Company would make no railway connection to the west coast of Africa north of the 14°
latitude before it has constructed a railway line to the west coast through German territory south of 14°
latitude;
the agreement with the Katangan Rlwy. Company is thus in violation of the 1899 agreement;
British South Africa Company must therefore undertake to effect a severance of the Katangan line should H.M. Govt. ask for it as a result of German objection to breach of 1899 agreement.
