D3287/37/5/5/1: Pages detached from a letter-book, containing letter from George Elder Jr (1816-1897) in Adelaide to Revd P Gell at Duffield Bank. Refers to his brother Alexander Lang Elder (1815-1885), founder of the firm of Elder and Company in South Australia. The copy is very hard to read. Dated 5 May 1850

D3287/37/5/5/3: Acknowledgement from the South Australian Company, London, 4 Jan 1839 that £30 has been lodged by Henry Cox for the credit of Arthur Gell

D3287/37/5/5/9: Letter from Alexander Lang Elder (1815-1885) in Adelaide to Revd P Gell at Duffield Bank. Since returning to the Colony, he and his brothers "have had your matters frequently under our consideration". Has finally tracked down William Paul and asked for a statement re the cattle "which by agreement he ought to have rendered to me once a year". Refers to other livestock and business matters. Dated 15 Apr 1851 with additional section dated 30 Apr 1851.
