Administrative History	Ashford School was founded in 1631 under the will of William Harris. It later amalgamated with girls' school supported by the Duke of Devonshire to form a primary school. The school closed in 1988.
Custodial History	The records were transferred by the head teacher and former staff in February and May 1989, December 1990 and January 1994
