Administrative History
From its earliest foundation Allestree was a parochial chapelry of Mackworth. It was dedicated to St Edmund, although it was widely believed in the early nineteenth century to have been dedicated to St Andrew. The parish of St Nicholas, Allestree was created in 1964.

These records were deposited in Derbyshire Record Office in September 1988, August and October 1990, April 1995 and July 1996.
