Title
Deed to lead to recoveries by which Samuel Salt of the Inner Temple, London, esq, at the direction of John Shadwell Horton of Hadley otherwise Monken Handley (Middlesex) esq, eldest son of John Horton, esq, dec'd, formerly of Bread Street Hill, London, sugar baker, has bargained and sold to John Harwood of the parish of St Bridget, gent, the manor of Barton-under-Needwood (as described in D3155/WH 95), and also messuages and lands in Clanfield (Oxfordshire) including a messuage or tenement, 2a of land called Fow Butts in the West Field, close called Broad Close, 32a of land in a close on Town Furlong, 32a of land in the same furlong, 1a of land in the Middle Field, 1 foreshuter acre of land in the Middle Furlong, 2a of land in the Middle Furlong, 32a of land in Long Land Furlong,. 1 varndell of land in Long Land Furlong, 1 rigid acre and ½a in Long Land Furlong, ½a in the same furlong, 1a of land in Middle Furlong and many other lands in open fields recited in great detail (5 skins): Harwood to become a perfect tenant of the manor and lands against whom two or more good and sufficient common recoveries may be suffered and executed.
