Bargain and sale by roger Hawforde of Clipston husbandman, to Henry Hawforde of Brentingthorpe, Leics, in consideration of £80, of his moiety of a messuage or tenement in Clipston: viz the Hall, the parlour and chamber over it on the west side, with orchard adjoining to the parlour, parcel of ground called the Fooreyarde, piece of ground called the Rickyarde, 3 bays of buildings called the Neatehouse adjoining the stables, 2 bays of barn next the Rickeyarde, close called upper end of Bancrofte, 2 cottages with ground belonging to same in Bancrofte, moiety of a close called Over Close, nine leys with pikes in the fields of Newbold, moiety of a piece of pasture ground called Rycklande, also a yardland in the fields of Newbold.
