TitleAssignment of mortgage by Elizabeth Walton of Clipston, widow, executrix of the will of John Walton of Clipston, tailor, dec'd, at the direction of Thomas Walden (sic) of Clipston, shepherd, to John Chapman of Clipston, husbandman, and Job Chapman of Foston, Leics, husbandman, reciting mortgage by way of lease for 500 years for £20 by Thomas Walden to John Walton, dated 10 April 26 Charles II [1674], of a cottage in Clipston with one ley balk on Stanitthill in the Lowfield, one upon Nether Morrell, one upon Fullpitt Hill, one upon Stoney Ley, one upon Halfroods, one upon Long Wadborow, one upon Nether Anneslowe, one the nethermost upon Mittenhill, one upon Wedebeds, one under Lowe, 4 upon Tying leys (all in Lowfields): in Stogden Field - one upon Bare Hill, one upon the Goores, one called Lade at Newbold Oak, one upon Long Friday, one abutting against Newbold, one upon Newbold Coast, one upon Stogden Hill, one upon Chesthillake, one upon Loosehill on the Neither Piece, one upon Longold, one upon Cony Clappers, one upon the Middle Piece of Bradenton, one upon Five Acres: in the Mawslowfield - one upon Saltmarsh, two upon Over Bondland, one upon Redrodell, one upon Eyes Hill, one upon Sawchnole; all of which hades and balks adjoin and follow the land of Thomas Bosworth: now lease assigned, in consideration of £25 for the residue of the 500 year term.
