These map is described in the Derbyshire Record Society's "A Catalogue of Local Maps of Derbyshire c.1528–1800" (compiled by Harold Nichols, revised by Mary Wiltshire assisted by Susan Woore, published 2012). The descriptions read as follows:
Weston Hollow surveyed by William Leaper August ye 29th 1723. Surveyor:William Leaper. Scale: of 10 chains [1:3200]. Size: 47 x 30 cm. Materials: coloured ink on paper, in bound volume.Centred on: SK403280 Notes: compass rose, NNE at top. Shows 80 acres in 2 fields, 'the Upper part' and 'the part next ye Towne', with 'pricked line' dividing the two: two possible lines one slightly further east. Location:DRO, D3155/WH220 [sic]; copy in same volume, coloured ink on parchment, same size etc. endorsed 'surveyed Aug. 29th 1723'.
House, gardens and Park at Aston on Trent surveyed for James Shuttleworth esq. 1747. Scale: of 4 chains [1:3200] Size: 37 x 27 cm. Materials: ink on paper, in bound volume. Centred on: SK300520. Notes: no orientation. Shows 91 acres with house and 'court' shown in plan: avenue of trees, ponds, woodland: short terrier. Location: DRO, D3155/WH2200
