Title
Deed of exchange between William Saunders of Welford, gent, Henry Lomley of Clipston, gent, son and heir of Elizabeth Lomley one of the daughters and heirs of Sir James Harrington kt, by which Saunders has conveyed to Lomley three parts of the manor of Clipston and all such lands, tenements with the advowson of the third part of the church and chantry of Clipston and Newbold; also his manor called Childe Manor; of clear yearly value of £5 6s 8d; also tenement in the occupation of William Smyth, Peter Geffreson, Richard Rawlin. Roger Hull, John Hull (purchased of Maurice Osborne); annual value 35s 6d; in exchange for all his (Lomley's) part of the manor of Brixworth and the advowson of the chantry in Brixworth, and all other his hereditaments in Brixworth. Dated 5 July 21 Henry VIII [1529]. (18th century copy - note that "Little Close" part of the premises)
