Description
The source of these documents is not known, though they may emanate from Foremark Hall, the former seat of the Burdett family now a preparatory school for Repton. Most date from the first quarter of the nineteenth century and consist of estate papers and correspondence involving Sir Francis Burdett and his agent, Richard Crabtree. Further Burdett records are deposited in the Derbyshire Record Office under references D156 and D665
