Description
The early items in this group (D2977/2/1-145) were originally loaned to the school and subsequently turned into a gift by Richard Measham Esq., son of Rev Richard Measham (an old Reptonian) about 1942. The remainder of the items (D2977/2/146-243) were added after 1945. --- The majority of the documents relate to the Measham family and to the Cowlishaw family which married into the Meashams about 1700. In addition, there are memorandum books and correspondence from members of the Needham, Woodhouse, Measham and Ward families including Luke Needham, excise officer (D2977/2/227-228).
