L Ward of Repton (fl 1922-1961), pig farmer
Administrative History
Thomas Leonard Ward and his wife Constance started a pig, poultry and fruit farm at Cokhay in 1922 and continued in business until a stock dispersal sale in 1961. Pigs were bred and fattened in permanent grass runs. Chickens were bought in as day-old pullets and reared as free range poultry, primarily for their eggs. Mrs Ward's maiden name was Jackson and these papers include some documents relating to her family.
Custodial History
These papers were deposited in the Record Office in March 1986.
