Administrative History
Rev William Dethick by his will (proved 1626) established a charity to pay the salary of a schoolmaster in Hartshorne and to provide bread for the poor of the parish each Sunday. These deeds and other papers were transferred to the Record Office in September 1984. On receipt, many items were found to have been cut up and initial letters etc removed.
