Description	These ledgers record rents received from tenants on a weekly basis and were used to compile the income for accounting to landlord clients. A basic page order was used for many years: pp 1-10 Long Eaton pp 11-13 New and Old Sawley pp 17-23 Sandiacre/Risley/Stapleford pp 24-27 Chilwell pp 28 Attenborough pp 29-31 Chilwell/Beeston pp 32 Toton/Attenborough pp 33-35 Stapleford/Sandiacre pp 36 Breaston/Draycott pp 37 Castle Donington etc pp 38 Miscellaneous pp 40 Bancroft Whitton Estates pp41-43 (1950) Central Nottingham and The Meadows The places are arranged in collection order for visiting in turn. Thus a number of streets appear in sections so as to run with the immediate side streets. Later years show increases due to legislation: 1957, 1965 Rent Acts. Rents may be exclusive of council and water rates due to either individual agreement or the council not insisting on landlord responsibility. Many are, however, inclusive.
