| Description | Notebooks used by members of the firm when out on survey. Entries usually in pencil and somewhat abbreviated. They relate to all aspects of the firm's business: lists of chattels for auction, surveys of houses and contents for probate valuation (NB d.o.d = date of death), notes on houses from which sale particulars were drawn up. Only very partially indexed. Contain a number of loose papers relating very closely to the business in hand.
