Description | Bequeathing: 1. to his niece Anne Middleton, daughter of his brother John Walker, deceased, a close called Stone Flatt Pingle to pay for the schooling of 3 poor boys born or bred in Chaddesden by means of an annual pension of 8 shillings for 5 years. 2. to his niece Anne Middleton his house in Chaddesden, with outhouses, orchards, backside and a close called Cherrytree Close in Chaddesden and on her death to Robert Middleton her son, with payment by him to his sisters Ann and Elizabeth of £10 upon reaching the age of 21. 3. to his kinsman, Robert Middleton, all closes called the West Gate Pingles and 2 acres of arable land in Chaddesden. 4. to Ann and Elizabeth Middleton all the rest and remainder of his lands and tenements. 5. to his friend Thomas Strong of Derby £20 and to each of his children 2 shillings 6d. 6. to his niece Anne Middleton anything else of his estate He makes Anne Middleton sole executrix and Thomas Strong overseer of the will.
