Title
Photocopy of copy charter, 963, Edgar, King of the English and of all Britain, grants to Aethelferth for twenty mancuses of pure gold five hides [mansi] at Beligden [Ballidon]. The bounds of the property are described in English as stretching ‘from the brook down to the mire, from there to the thicket, to ‘frigidene’ [frog valley], from frigidene to the King’s land and then along King’s Street to Beligden [Ballidon] and from there to the brook’
