Letter - Walter Taylor to Sir John Gell - Mr Sanders received a letter from Lichfield concerning rumours about hatchets and such instruments prepared for mischief - one Green, a postmaker and great complier with papists and John Ridding have already confessed before justices to have bespoken 30 hatchets each, but the smiths in the area say they bespoke 200 at least, intended for some massacre next Wednesday. `Tuesday'
