Bargain and sale by Katherine Gell, wife of John Gell of Hopton, to John Heathcott of Bakewell, yeoman, and Thomas Parker of Hopton, yeoman, - whereas Heathcott and Parker, with Katharine, are bound to Robert Eyre of Highlow, as her proper debt, in 2 obligations, viz £1000 for the payment of £500 and £500 for the payment of £250, dated 17 Jan last - as security to Heathcott and Parker, of all those mines, groves, rakes etc in parcels of ground known as Cromford Moore, Raventarr Rake and Baylycroft in the wapentake of Wirksworth and Lyddow Flatts and Dun Rake, with liberty to dig and sough the same and take the lead ore, with proviso that if Katharine shall pay the £500 and £250 to Eyre, then the estate of Heathcott and Parker in the premises shall cease. 30 May, 16 Cha II
