Draft bonds in £[ ] by Sir Philip Gell to Bernard Burtenshaw of Cowfold (Sussex), yeoman - whereas Burtenshaw is tenant of lands called Gratwicks and Londons at Cowfold at £100 a year which farm came to Gell after the death of Dame [Mary] Fagg in right of Elizabeth his wife - and whereas Burtenshaw has attorned tenant to Gell for the premises and has paid £50 for half a year's rent upon condition that Gell indemnify Burtenshaw against all actions that may be brought against him - to indemnify Burtenshaw as above, 18 Jun
