Administrative History | A chapel, dedicated to St Michael and All Angels, was founded at Alsop en le Dale in the twelfth century as a dependency of the mother church at Ashbourne. After the Reformation, it became a parochial chapelry and the appointment of the minister was vested in the freeholders who augmented the minister's stipend. The living was united with that of Parwich in 1911. The parish includes the hamlet of Cold Eaton. |
Custodial History | The records were deposited at Derbyshire Record Office in October 1982, April 1989 and January 1993. |
