Administrative History
Tansley National School was built in 1843 and enlarged in 1890 to provide accommodation for 300 children. In 1891 average attendance was said to be 70 girls, 70 boys and 80 infants.
Custodial History
These records were transferred to Derbyshire Record Office in 1982.
