Memorandum of agreement between Messrs Barlow, Walker and Company of Eastwood, Nottingham (the vendors) and John Sterland Gratton of Derby, land agent, as agent for the Midland Railway Company, for the sale by the vendors to the Railway Company for £253 2s 6d of pieces of land containg 3 roods 15 perches in parish Heanor with mines and minerals thereunder, the purchase to be completed by 1 May next.

A plan is annexed showing Langley Mill Station area and Beggarlee Branch of the Midland Railway alongside which are the pieces of land purchased. Scale 5 ch: 1 inch. Signed C E Lamb, Derby, 28 Feb.
The memorandum is endorsed with solicitors' names and with calculation of costs of transaction.
