Administrative History | The years following the end of World War II in 1945 were characterised by supply difficulties and shortages of food and materials. Rationing, which had been in force during wartime, continued for several years in order to ensure equitable distribution of goods and foodstuffs. Ration books were issued to record entitlements and purchases. These items from the Sharp family of Aston on Trent and Shelton Lock are representative examples of such documents. |
Custodial History | These items were donated to the Record Office in 1982. |
