Title
Declaration Thomas Fawne of Allerwaslegh [Alderwasley] "byng in goddes handdes and felyng my self in perell of dethe and beyng whole in my mynde doe and take on my charge as I wille answer a fore god" that a gift and grant made by him to Thomas Lowe and Joan, his eldest daughter of all his land at Allerwaslegh, Assheleyhey and elsewhere in Derbyshire was good and valid, that he never knew of any entail upon the property, neither on heirs male nor general but that he might, at the marriage of Thomas and Joan, give or sell it to whom he liked, save monks or Jews, and that he had never made any entail upon the same save that made at the said marriage. Furthermore he charges his daughters Margery and Ellyn that they are never to lay claim, nor cause their husbands to claim, the said lands, but are to keep the bargain made between them and their eldest sister and her husband and that they are to love, and cause their husbands to love, her and be as brothers and Sisters" Witnesses: William Calton, "my gostly fader parocke preste of Wykesworth", Thomas Wygley of the same, William Glossopp of the same, Henry Bradshawe of Allerwaslegh, Richard Nawton of the same, William Spencer of the same and William Fletcher of the same at Allerwaslegh, 10 Jan 18 Edward IV.
