| Administrative History | Charles Drinkwater (1856-1889), surgeon, was the son of Thomas and Elizabeth Drinkwater of Meadows Farm, Mellor, Derbyshire, and was a protégé of the surgeon Joseph Lister. Charles Drinkwater travelled to Australia where he died and was buried in 1889. |
