Description
Containing plans of Burbage Church and fixtures including details of the organ, reading desk and pews. Also contains sketch plans of buildings and equipment at various other sites, including: Harpur Hill Chapel School; Boggarts Inn Cottage, Wirksworth; Whaley Colliery; rock-crushing equipment at Ashwood Dale quarry. The author is unidentified, but the inside cover bears the stamp “from the Buxton Lime Firms”, and a note of the address Mason and Payne (publishers) London. H A Hubbersty was a director of Buxton Lime Firms as well as a churchwarden at Burbage, which may explain this item's presence among parish records
