Parish of Monyash St Leonard
Administrative History
Monyash was originally a parochial chapelry of Bakewell, only becoming a completely separate parish in the twentieth century. Until 1858 it came under the peculiar jurisdiction of the Dean and Chapter of Lichfield.
Custodial History
The records were deposited in Derbyshire Record Office in a number of consignments beginning in October 1981. Further accessions was received in November 2013 (see D2422/UL) and March 2019 (D2422/A/PV/1/1). This list was added to the online catalogue as part of the FindersKeepers project, with the help of Elissa Rowe.
