Archivist Note
Original location list has a separate section ("to check") noting c20 boxes of "Leeke" but also says Staffordshire material de-accessioned. I have checked the boxes (formerly 4109/3-4113/4, now P41/D3 onwards) and there is no more D239 material, so they are not noted in D239/UL entries. The same section says "D258 mixed", which must refer to D88/B1 and D88/B2. I checked these boxes and they do indeed contain Gell of Hopton Hall material which must have become enmeshed in the FitzHerbert collection somehow. I am leaving it where it is for the time being, simply because I don't know the full story - there might be some sensible reason for the material to be accessioned as D239, or there might not. These two are noted here as the last two boxes of the unlisted accession of 1990, box 19 and box 20. Mark Smith, 24/03/2015
