Title
Lease and release by John Saint of Derby joiner, and Elizabeth his wife, formerly Elizabeth Willson, Rev. John Dalby, executor of John Matchill deceased, and Charles Matchill et al. to Isabella Cooper, late of Bath, spinster, of a third part of the mill and buildings at Woodeaves and of closes called the Croft, Paddock, Thorns, New Piece, part of Grosvenor Wood, Bushy Lees, Owler Carr, the Brook, Cantrell's Close, Calf Close, the two Calf Meadows, and Bank, containing in all 101 acres 2 roods 32 perches; and a third part of a close at Kniveton called the Holmes (2 acres 3 roods 22 perches), with a fourth and a twelfth part (total one third) of all machinery etc in the mill, and of a security of £500 on the Haddon and Bentley Road, together with an assignment by Thomas Cox of Derby (administrator of the estates of James Simpson deceased) to Daniel Smith of Mayfield (co. Stafford) esq. of the residue of two mortgage terms in trust. Plan and table of reference. Consideration £4600. Dated 30/31 December
