Title
Copy of the will of Richard Finney of Ashford gent.; to wife Margaret and to John Beach of Tideswell in trust, all freehold and copyhold estates in Ashford, to discharge debts, legacies etc; to daughters Elizabeth and Margaret Finney equally, the residue of his estates, subject to dower for wife Margaret for life; if either daughter dies without issue, her share is to go to the other, but if both die without issue, the estates are to descend to James son ofThomas Longsdon of Little Longstone gent. and William son of John Beach in equal shares; to Thomas and Fanny, children of Thomas and Jane Finney of Ashford, £100 each; to William, son of John and Mary Peploe of Bednall (co. Stafford), £200; to George and Ann, children of George and Martha Brownhill of Bakewell, £100 each; the residue of ready money and personal estate to wife Margaret until his youngest daughter is 21, then to be divided equally between wife and two daughters. Margaret and John Beach to be executors. Dated 2 July
