Jaques and Fisher to Sir William FitzHerbert: (with duplicate): to reduce the acreage under canes at Vere would be no saving to Mr. Perrin; and it would be no advantage either for Jaques and Fisher to consider the purchase of the "negroes" for Vere as theirs and to hire them to the estate. Retrieve consists of 490 acres - it might sell for £1000 sterling.
