These alms should be free and quit of all customary services and all legal actions and pleas insofar as they pertain to me. This land is free of all external services, except for service to the king. William, my brother, the canons and my mother have confirmed the boundary (of this land). Witnessed by Thomas the priest and lord, William and Alice his wife and William his son and Hamone de Bordern and Gilbert the clerk of Malpas and Robert the clerk of Chegworth and Thomas the steward (or burser) of Luteburh and Geoffery de Id..ce(?) and Robert son of Hardulf le Bac formentin fratr..(?) and Richard son of Nicholas de corp and Richard son of serlonis(?) de Lich……. and William the clerk of Barwa and Henry obsti…aria(?) and William Maillard and Robert his brother and Hamone the miller and Alfred the steward of William the father(?) and Sampson his squire and Richard the son of fulcon(?) and Richard Ti’ne and Thurston hoi….(?) and many others.
