Administrative History
The township of Wessington was originally part of the parish of Crich (for parish records of Crich see D2365). It was formed into a separate ecclesiastical parish in 1859.
Custodial History
The records were deposited in Derbyshire Record Office in a number of consignments beginning in April 1981. The tithe award schedule was donated by Wessington Primary School in April 2023. This list was added to the online catalogue as part of the FindersKeepers project, with the help of Elissa Rowe.
